Accounting · Australia

Bookkeeping & practice operations

For BAS and annual returns, the team had to allocate large transaction volumes to accounts. This workload limited the practice's capacity to take on new clients.

An AI-assisted platform for bookkeeping transaction coding and day-to-day accounting practice workflows, independently designed and developed for an Australian accounting practice. AI suggests account codes; the team confirms each one.

The practice now spends much less time coding transactions, and the time keeps falling with each repeat use.

Evidence preparation & data checking

Different case types required similar evidence preparation and data checks, making repetitive manual work time-consuming and prone to errors.

An independently designed and developed evidence-processing workflow structures legal concepts and their relationships into a model the system can use, and connects with the firm's existing OA (office automation) system.

Preparation takes less manual work, and every data point can be traced to the evidence behind it.

Manufacturing · China

CAD drawings, quotations & costing

Drawing interpretation, quotation preparation and cost calculations needed a connected process within the factory's existing ERP workflow.

An independently developed workflow connects CAD drawing recognition, quoting and cost calculations with the existing ERP. Manufacturing concepts and costing rules are structured into a model the system can use.

The quoting team can produce accurate quotes faster, and finance can check the costing behind each one.

Connect with existing systems where appropriate, then plan deployment, training and maintenance around the team's needs.

I independently handle discovery, solution design, prototyping, development, deployment, training and maintenance. Scope and ongoing support are agreed for each engagement.

Jin Ding

Based in Sydney. Building business software since 2006.

I spent eight years building ERP, CRM and HR systems, including material requirements planning, for an industrial group in China, then moved to cloud and backend work for Australian insurance and telecommunications companies.

Today I work directly with business teams to understand how the work gets done and build software around their processes and existing systems.

Building Froa AI

Platform in development

Alongside client work, I’m developing Froa AI, a platform for AI-assisted business workflows. It is being designed to work with existing systems, keep consequential actions subject to human approval and make execution traceable.
